California Master Photographer
The Master Photographer award consists of a medallion and a certificate recognizing the degree recipient. The individual earning this degree is allowed to use the designation M-PPC after his/her name.
Certification
Must be a PPC Member in good standing for previous three consecutive years.
Photography Print / Digital
- 15 Print Merits
- No more than four prints may be scored for Masters in a calendar year
- Points are awarded in the following manner
80-84 1 Merit Point
85 and above 2 Merit Points
Service Merits
- Candidates must earn a minimum of ten service merits per the PPC Service Schedule.
Speaking Merits
- Candidates must earn 5 speaking merits in addition to the 10 Service Merits.
Applying Previous Credit
A maximum of 5 previous Print Merits from the last five years PPC/PPA print competitions may be used towards the new Masters Degree.
No previous Service Merits may be used towards the new Masters Degree.
A maximum of 3 previous Speaking Merits from the last three years may be used towards the new Masters Degree.
The California Masters Degree will replace the Fellowship Degree, however those that have earned the Fellowship shall be allowed to continue wearing their Fellowship Medallions.
